About John P. Baglia, Esq.

Licensed in both Florida and Illinois, John P. Baglia is a seasoned litigation attorney trusted by clients to navigate life's most serious and sensitive matters. Raised in South Florida by a family of small business owners, he inherited an uncompromising work ethic that continues to define his practice. Today, John assists and represents clients with personal injury and wrongful death claims, estate planning and asset protection, family law matters including divorce and prenuptial agreements, criminal defense, and small business organization and litigation.​​

 

John began his career in Chicago, representing hundreds of clients in high-stakes civil matters. He has built a strong track record of securing successful outcomes through negotiation, including favorable resolutions for hundreds of clients in pre-litigation settlements and mediations. When resolution outside the courtroom is not possible, he employs a tactical approach marked by meticulous preparation and attention to detail.

 

Clients often consider John their personal "general counsel," seeking his advice on a variety of legal and family matters. If John isn't the right person to answer a family's question, he puts them in touch with others who can with the goal of getting the family the best possible advice.​

 

After earning his undergraduate degree from Florida State University, John moved to Chicago, where he earned his law degree cum laude from UIC John Marshall Law School. His academic excellence was recognized when his law review comment was selected for publication in the John Marshall Law Review. Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his wife, practicing martial arts, and playing with his French Bulldog, Bean.
